does anyone have a problem with nfsc's loading times? like when you're racing the map isnt loaded al the way and it freezes for about 30 seconds until its fully loaded that part but then about 10 seconds later there is another map loading? this is really bothering me cuz its making me lose races everytime this happens.
PS this doesnt work for me. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/303681

thats not the problem though, because all my other games i have burnt at 8x with the same DVD's and they work perfectly, no skipping, no loading problems. It is only Need For Speed that gives me a problem with loading. I've wasted 5 DVD's trying to fix the problem but it still keeps happening. I rebuilt the ISO and tried it that way and it still never worked. I used the original ISO and burnt it and that never worked, i burnt at different speeds and that never worked! I don't know what else to do. :(

I have the same problem, it skips and jumps and takes a lifetime to load. I am using Ritek GO5 DVD-R's and burning at 4x, have had no problems before until this game. I was going to try rebuidling but as some of you have tried that i am not sure what to try as well! Is everyone thats having the problem using Swap Magic?

there he is

hmm then I should stop trying seeing as nobody can figure it out. Don't want to waste any more DVD's lol. This game and Splinter Cell Double agent don't work for me.. lol i'm so upset :( :( :( loll I really wanted to play this game but everytime I get on the track and race, I'm faced with a track which is cut off then the game freezes and out pops a blurred screen and then the track loads. :( I don't think there will be a patch.. I didn't see a patch for Most Wanted. One of my friends burnt his game at 4x with DVD Decrypter using Sony DVD's and it worked perfectly for him. No loading, no problems nothing.

Likewise for me... I just made (2) back-ups of this game, one burned at 4x w/ DVD Decrypter on a Sony (16D1) -R, and one burned at 8x w/ Decrypter on a Sony MIJ (Yuden T02) +R, booktyped to DVD-ROM. Both load and play perfectly.

I wish I had more to offer. Not sure what else to say here dudes... but, Good luck!

One more thing, the only thing I can think of is possibly different 'revisions' of the PS2 itself may or may not 'like' certain back-ups. My buddies' machine only likes back-ups burned at 8x using Verbatim media... and mine works well with Sony media and 4x burn speeds.

Just another thought...

check firmware for your burner, try to use dvd -r for burning "this is what i use", try to not use 16x for ps2 game. use 8x and burn at 4x. if you use DVD+R booktype to dvd rom. this is all i can say, it's worked for me. if any questions just ask.

Why is it that whenever a new game's released, there's always people on here that have problems with it?

Once again, it's working 100% 'A' Okay for me, burnt at 4x on RITEK G05 8x DVD-R media, using Nero & booted on a v4 PS2 with SM2.0

I just can't understand how it can be so difficult to burn a working game for some people?
