Hey all,

How would I go around to patching the 3 .elf files on Splinter Cell: Double Agent with pal2ntsc y-fix so that the screen is centered? The ISO is alraedy 2.5Gbs, do I need to rebuild? Yes or no? How would I do the patching of individual .elfs?

Thanks

Yes but that only patches the MAIN .elf file
for example, Splinter Cell: Double Agent has THREE .elf files:

Main
SC_ON
SC_OFF

The one that gets patched and works perfectly is the MAIN one, but that one is just the menu that selects if you are gonna play Solo/Coop (SC_OFF) or Multiplayer online (SC_ON). And when you choose, it boots those .elf that have no patch. That's why I wanna know how to patch THOSE files too.

any ideas?

You would have to use hex editing. Or use ppf patching given this you would have to find a ppf patch use.

right ok, well heres my long shot at getting it to work (i really wish someone would send me the files from FF12 ps2 backup from my thread please!!)

Anyway.

Take a copy of the ISO file to work on (do not modify the other one)

Make sure you read all the way through before starting

1. Grab Powerarchiver http://www.powerarchiver.com
2. Open the ISO with Powerarchiver
3. Find the 3 files and extract them out of the iso.
4. Rename the main elf (the one that already patched properly)to something distinguishable Like 'thisismain' so you can rename it back later.
5. Rename the first unpatched one to the same (original) name as the one that worked properly.
6. Copy it into the ISO, Repatch the ISO, and then copy out and rename it back.
7. Repeat for the last unpatched.
8. Making sure files are all back to the correct file name copy them back into the ISO (you can drag and drop in PA so give it a go)

Im not saying this will definately work but, its worth a try

[Aditional]
You will have to use more than one directory as you probably know windows does not allow you to have 2 files with the same name in the same working directory. Last of Make sure you dont lose the first elf file (like I did with FF12 p.s still waiting for someone to upload for me:)

If it works you owe me a FF12 elf file ;)
