my soft modded xbox only starts up after being in the freezer for 10 minutes - wtf!

lol, the freezer trick, that is the most common sign of a hard drive about to go, you might want to consider putting a modchip in there and then buying a new hard drive. This also might be the problem http://www.llamma.com/xbox/Repairs/xbox_locks_up.htm

that's where I got the freezer trick, odd, but it does work - cleaning it out did nothing

whatever - might take your advice and mod the hell out of it, have nothing to lose!

yeah seriously, if you have done the llama stuff and its still giving you problems, I will bet almost anything its a bad hard drive, stick a modchip on there and a new hard drive.

btw when you say it wont turn on, do you mean it just wont boot, on you press the button and nothing happens, no lights
