Hello,

I'm trying to play Phantasy Star Universe online on my slim PSTwo, but the problem is after disabling the mod, I get the red screen "Please insert a Playstation or Playstation 2 format disc" error after inserting the game. Everything else works fine with the mod...plays backups, can boot originals normally if I don't off the modchip.

Can someone help me pls? Ok I recently just took the PS2 for repair because of lens and motherboard problem...so is it possible the technician left out something or screwed up something inside and so the mod does not work in stealth mode?

Anyone else come across this problem?

Oh crap I think know why I can't boot the game...it's NTSC/UC and my set is Jap. So when the mod's off...

Sigh...looks like I won't be going online for PSU.

It could be your modchip playing up, you might need to buy a new ps2 because its impossible to replace installed modchips.

Why is it impossible to replace an installed mod chip?

well im guessing because you have already soldered the wire to the chip and the chip is that small it would be hard to fix?
