1.I have a hitachi drive and i put Birdy flasher 2.2 on it and it use to play Madden 07,Splinter Cell,and NBA 2K7 now it doesnt play crap and just tells me to open the drive why is this?
2.When you burn downloaded games do you burn the iso or the dvd. file?
3.What is the best type of media to burn with?
4.Whats the best type of firware for Hitachi?

Yeah that Gears of War is actually a fake. Load the par2 files and you'll see for youself. Those people that post that are the same type people that like to piss people off to make themselves feel like they have some power. Those are the type of people on Xbox Live that cheese. They all need to be shot. :-) I'm waiting for GOW myself but I know it'll be in NNTP soon. (Rant over)

Get Opa-Xtreme 2.3 Stealth and flash your hitachi with this. Should stop all the open tray errors. Also make sure you burn your games on Verbatim DVD+R DL. I've never had a problem with any game burned at 4x on these discs. And yes, I have a Hitachi.

can i just update my firmware or do i have to go back to the orignal then update it.Because i dont have the orignal saved on my computer.Also that does the rubband mod actully work?and if so i do i make it work? Last but not least do you think the reason why my discs are acting up is because of the firware or the because i burned the iso instead of the dvd. file? Also can i burn with an NEC 3520A burner.THANK YOU GUYS YOUVE BEEN A BIG HELP.

Well the rubberband trick should solve the problem as well as upgrading your firmware to opa 2.3 stealth. If upgrading doesn't work, then do the rubberband mod. That works wonders I hear.

wat about maximus-Garyopoa_xtrm Hitachi v2_2_stealth?Also how do i but the iso file and the dvd. file in the same burner and download.Lastly WTF is a Booktype setting?THANK YOU

I really think you need to do the ruberband trick.. if you can't search for it on google im not sure on how much success you'll have. http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=550832
Does it work? I gave you a freakin video showing you it worked, it's not some ufo video it's real just do it.I really don't think it's a burning issue. Can you play orignals ? the backups worked before right? the booktype is dvdrom.

im sorry it was just difficult to see but im going to try and update my firmware first then i will try the rubband trick.Also do i need to go back to the orignal firmware

hey nike,
Just connect your drive to your pc make sure your in mode b. in the latest package from opa is a restore file, run restore.bat, when it's done run flash23s.bat and wait till it's done. then disconnect, put back together. and don't worry about the 3520a same drive as me with a 47dj and everything is fine, you just need to update is all.

well the latest Gears of War to be posted is actually World Series Poker xbox 360..hmm i dont think the guys from that game will be sat playing poker!! so theres a good 1000,000% chance that ones a fake
