Hi,
I was installing the duo3 mod-chip in a V14 ps2.
I already did this with a V12 and a V13.
But with the v14 some contacts are not so easy to solder, so I tried the alternative ones.

Now I screwed up!
I accidentally soldered some contacts to each other.
Something like in the picture.

How can I DEsolder that???
Or do I have to ask a pro to do that?
Please help!

You should of had a professional install it for you in the first place, because i have a modchip as well but im not gong to install it my self because i would stuff it up.

PS2 = Matrix Infinity (Green Dot)
Xbox 360 BenQ = ixtreme 1.6
Xbox 360 Lite On = Not working :(
Kreon SH-D163B = The Best thing out of them all :)

well you can just try heating up the solder and use some desoldering braid, better yet use a desolder gun, that sucks it up while its hot, just dont desolder anything else on accident

what you do is add more solder onto those legs to make a big glob--then you heat up that glob of solder and suck it away with a solder sucker and presto--its all gone.

Where exactly did you bridge the solder? On the leads of an IC? It can be a little tricky to remove. I would use a desoldering braid as recommended previously. If it's bridged closer to than IC and not so close to the PCB, try a solder sucker.

If you don't know how to use either one, let someone know and ask for more help.
