I have been using hdadvance for a long time, and then I stopped because I kept having issues with ps2's and they kept breaking on me. My problem is this. In the past, I have been using the ps2 handiness method to put ps2 games from the computer onto the hdd and then play the hdd through the ps2. Somehow, this all mysteriously went horribly wrong because for the longest time the ps2 would stop recognizing my hdd's. Then even worse, it would recognize it but tell me that the entire thing needs to be reformatted. Now, I have two hdd's, one is a maxtor and the other one is a genuine sony ps2 brand hdd. I get this message no matter what I put in, and even after I reformat the hdd for the second, third, or fifth time I keep seeing this same message. Nothing seems to work, but maybe this means that I still have all my games on my hdd's. WHat I would like to know is what do I have to do to actually make my hard drives operational? When I connect them to my computer and try to run them through ps2 handiness, it says ps2 drive not found. Also, it doesn't show up in my devices either, which is too odd. Yet still, I can plug it into my ps2 and it will tell me that they both need to be formatted before I can continue, and that is all it will ever tell me.
