My Swap Magic disk is scratched up.. but still works

Everytime I load my Swap Magic, my laser keeps clicking heavily. I think it's wearing down because some of my games are starting to freeze or load slow.

Anyways, my Swap Magic is scratched up but it's still functioning.

Is it suppose to be "clicking heavily" or no? I might just buy a new one or get that Swap Coder thing.
