I was wondering if anyone has had luck using shrink to make a back-up of Grey's Anatomy Season 1. I have tried decrypting as well and still no luck.

Thank you!

Using shrink 3.2.0.15. When place disc in....reads but once you click on "backup" nothing will happen, system will time out. Only happening with this movie.

I figured it was decrypted...so I ran DVD Decrypter 3.5.4.0. Took about 2 hours to decrypt but finally complete.

I then tried to utilize DVD Shrink again, when I click open files, I locate file, then I receive an error that says the VOB file is already in use by another I/O.

Thanks.

@eisenbrs

You will need to have something that will remove encryptions on the newer discs. Shrink and decrypter by themselves can't handle the nastier DRMs.

I only had trouble with a few of the 6 disc set. I used Ripit4me for the difficult ones. I used Shrink and the newest AnyDVD for the others.

Thanks for the help. I tried the DVDFab and it worked GREAT!

I appreciate all your feedback.

I ran into a similar problem using AnyDVD and Nero Recode. The VTS_07_0.VOB file was missing from the compilation and it wouldn't play on anything. I turned AnyDVD off, copied the DVD to my HDD using DVD Decrypter, then used Nero Recode to shink it. Worked perfectly. Also tried DVD Shrink on the folder--it also worked perfectly, just a little slower.
