i want to burn some of my games that i downloaded from the internet,i tried to burn with Maxel DVD-R 16x made in Taiwan and then i tried to burn with Sony DVD+R(SONY-D21-00) 16x made in Japan but i never sucess once.My PS2 already moded but i dont know what kind of modchip is used cause i bought it from my native country, when i put the DVD in,it just keep saying "reading disc".So what is the problem?my PS2,Media or the way i burn is wrong?

What speed did you burn on. What is the media code on the dvd's? Shoot, you coulda been cheated and the PS2 might not even have a chip.

i burn with half max speed of the media which is Sony and the disc code is SONY-D21-00,

the funny thing about my PS2 is when i was in my native country, i bought 2 kind of PS2 games media. One call the Copy DVD, this DVD look just like the kind of blank DVD i buy from store, this one can not play on my PS2.The second one is look like orginal PS2 Games,this one my PS2 can play but it doest not work on my friend'spPS2 that bought in US.So did my PS2 moded? how can i check what kind of modchip is used?
