It is not recommend to rip as an ISO because most likely those junks (fake/corrupted VTS, tiny cells, structural etc.) would still be on the movie as well once it's done ripped.
If you're going to edit or at least transcode via DVD Shrink or Nero Recode afterward, then it's wise to rip it as VIDEO_TS or Mode, File F instead.
Shrink is likely to throw up when trying to open an ISO vs VIDEO_TS or (File Mode). Unless, you're going for a DL backup, then that's another story. However, the choice is yours.
