I keep reading that you need to flash your drive everytime you make a backup. Is this only for making backups from the disc? I downloaded a copy of a game I have because mine is scratched from moving while spinning, it's Splinter Cell:DA anyway. I have a dvd 1kb file and an iso for it. So I just burn the dvd file right? I have Xtreme 4.2 and the MS25 drive. Beacuse it has a dvd file that means it was patched all ready right? Does 4.2 do the SS insert thing automatic?

As long as it was a full game rip then you just burn the .dvd file with clone cd ( or whatever it is you use) and that should then play in your box, No need for patching or inserting anything :-)

Cool, thanx. I have to wait till my burner gets here. Also, I read you need to change the dvd bookmark thing, on a Pioneer 111d burner and using imgburn, will I have to or is it auto? I just don't wanna mess us a disc cause they weren't cheap and I only got 3 for now.

i have also read that your meant to change some setting to makesure its a dvd rom but I use clone cd and have a sony DW-D22A burner and never change any settings. maybe i'm just lucky. So i'm not sure about that one, sorry.
