Im wondering if theres a simple solution the the problem with my PS2, a couple of times ive left the ps2 idle for a while 1 hour+ when I get back the screen is frozen and the PS2 needs restarting to work, also while in game I was playing def jam fight for new york, when loading a fight the screen froze and I had to reset. Im wondering wether this is a simple overheating issue that can be solved by a good cleaning inside, or a deeper problem e.g. the "weak laser" problem with some PS2's

sorry if theres a sticky or other thread addressing this problem, I looked but couldnt find any.

It seems its just the game thats been freezing, can anyone give me tips on improving the condition of a cd, preferably something that doesnt require an expensive CD repair system to be bought lol.
