For some reason, after the slax cd finish booting, my 360 light still doesn't flicker.

im using a sata pci card, hitachi lg 47 drive.

I just dont get it. help is badly needed.

Don't worry about the modeB light.. If windows detects and gives the Hitachi a drive letter, you're in modeB

Then how do you know when to restart your pc and take out the slax cd?

When you get to the login prompt: It'll look like
Login: Password:

Then hit the reset button on pc, take out slax cd and let windows boot. It should detect the hitachi. If it doesnt and you don't see
HT-LG Drive found - mode.b thanks to -kev
when in slax, then you need a different pci sata card.
The SIL3112a chipset works perfectly with all hitachi models and slax puts it into modeB 100% of the time. By far the easiest way to flash a hitachi.

I was told that VIA1621L chipset is also an excellent pci sata card that lets you flash samsung ms28 (10 sec trick) and hitachi (all of them except ms78)!
