Iam new at this backing up stuff and i need some help please i wont to back up my dvd films ive got clone dvd but it wont work on copy protected disks so do i have to use another program first then use clone dvd thanks in advance.

use DVD Decrypter to burn the dvd to your hard drive as an iso file then get clone dvd to burn it to disc you can download dvd decryter from this website

that would only work if the dvd you are coping is smaller that 4.4gigs, which normally with all the extra stuff on a dvd this is normally not the case, and there is no option in decryptor to select only the stuff on the dvd you want to make an iso of....

ok then try DVD Shrink to compress the film first it is also available from this website

If the clone DVD you are talking about is the one by Elaborate Bytes, it will compress the movie for you so that once you have ripped the DVD using DVD Decrypter, you CAN use CloneDVD to make your final DVD. You won't need to get another program like DVD Shrink.
