I have my ps2 modded with an unknown mod-chip. It requires tapping the reset button everytime to boot games. The boot success rate is okay for single-layer games, but really bad for dual layer games like Grand Tourismo. So my question is: is it possible to uninstall the old chip and fitted in a new one like DMS4 or Matrix Infinity? Thanks.

Sure, but you know the old IT mantra "don't touch what's not broken"... (=

yeah, but for the enthusiasts, we fix things until it is broken.
