Also when i use mouse right click the properties of the dvd, it show that original dvd has 4.4 gb, but when i try to burn it ,it tell me that this dvd is about 4.7 gb big.

How much hard drive space do you have? You could try copying all the DVD+R files to your hard drive then use Easy CD creator, Nero or what ever to burn those files.
Dela I think DVD-R are 4482MB, but I could be wrong. I don't think jomarrod should have a problem if burn off the hard disk if on DVD+R could hold the data, so should an other DVD+R.

The maximum i have got on a DVD is 4429MB. Always set it to 4300 for guaranteed good writes. I set my to around 4400MB, the extra 100MB is quite handy sometimes.

Mine usually end up around 4300mb aswell. Nice for a movie but I would love if we could write to DVD-9 lol!!! I dont like dvd-10 double sided discs at all though I despise them!

It gets publicity for the website and gets afterdawn the download hits. I've spoken to dRD about this and he is happy with it. It links right back to the Afterdawn actual download page for each software program

Oriphus and Dela,
OK, First I rip it with Smart Ripper (I like that because I have used it before) and then what else?..... burn it with Nero?.... or must I do something else prior to burning it.
I used to make VCD copies of my movies but now that I got a DVD burner I am after the best quality.
appreciate it !!!!

Was the movie backup initally on a DVD+R and you are making an other back up copy?
That is what I got from your question. If that is the case then all you need to do is copy the files to the hard drive and burn from the hard drive to an other DVD+R. If not, and it a movie that you want to back up to a DVD+R then you should follow a typical backup guide.

Prisoner,
Yes, that is the case (from DVD+R to DVD+R). How should I copy the files to my hard drive?.... See, I tried to use DVD Decrypter and I got an eror message. (since it is a DVD+R I don't think I had to decrypt it). Then I tried to use DVD Shrink but got a reading error. The DVD I am copying from is good (believe me!). No skipping when I play it in my dvd player.
COuld you please tell me the many ways that you could go about this?....
What about Smart Ripper (as Oriphus suggested)?
I want to keep the same quality.
Thanks much!

Right click on the drive and select explore. Coy and paste them from the drive to your hard disk folder. It will take about 10mins. You dont need to compress. Use Nero or Record Now Max to burn. Use this guide:
