hard drive frozen,is warranty still valid to replace??

Hello
i was wondering if i could have some help, my hard drive has frozen and was locked in the xbox, now i cant access it, i thought about a unlock hard drive program.
But since the hdd is still under warranty is it still covered as it has been used in a xbox and had the original password changed, and will they ( the shop) be able to figure that out (seagate drive).
Also i had another hdd installed, but the guy locked it again (didnt take much notice), is their a way i can unlock the drive ( while it is in use), and will i loose any data on the hdd.

do not unlock Drive's unless you need to and if your xbox has been opened then nothing can be fixed inside of it...

Sorry may have to be clearer, my 160gb hdd has frozen, what might i be able to do concerning the warranty, still 6 months to go
and can i unlock the new 250gb hddd i have in there now as it is locked and i dont want to go through this again, sorry

Hello, sorry seem to be not stating problem correctly , or breing misunderstood, most probably the former.
before i start what use would the eeprom or the modchip be ( xbox still in use since i have replaced the hdd )sorry
My mod chipped xbox 160 hdd which was locked when in use in the xbox froze and i could not get acccess to it as being locked could not do anything with it.
i have since, Replaced that drive with another hdd, is the hdd i replaced which is now frozen and not accessible, cant get into it as it was locked when used in my modchipped xbox, will this still be under warranty ( under seagate )or is that viod since it has been used in a chipped xbox, just need to know so i can see if it is alright to send back the frozen hdd, to the shop i brought it from, not sure what the warranty would be like as used as a drive in a modded xbox, and can they tell that it has been used in or changed by being in a modded xbox.
hope that is better explained

the eeprom is backed up because it you screw up your box like you did....and if XBL bans it it makes it to where you can restore your eeprom and still play
