Why do you want to ruin the rubber pads? All you have to do is peel them off. The sticky stuff stays relatively intact and you simply stick the pads back onto the bottom and they'll stay there. The tricky part is to remove the labels to get at the two screws under them if you want to keep the labels intact. You can do this with a hot air gun (not just a blow dryer) or some chemicals. I just punch through them with the screwdriver :)
