I just bought South Park DVD brand new, silver disc. I power on my system and it kinda spins slowly, slower than it should, and goes to the browser screen. Then the disc stops. I have some burnt DVDs and they work fine. Has anyone had this problem or know how to fix it? My PS2 is the newest slim version.

not me, but i rarely use my PS2 for movies anymore.
It just doesn't do a great job plus even though it is made to be able to play CD's and movies you are just shortening your laser life by using it that way.

You best solution is to go out and spend $40 and buy a good DVD player to use.

Yeah, I have the exact same problem with new DVD's on my PS2 as well. Slim model? Well, I ended up buying a DVD player and after I watch them a few times and wear them in, they work on my PS2. I don't understand why, but PS2 has a lot of trouble reading discs.
