Hello,
First would like to say, I really like this site you guys have, it's help me a lot and I will return the favor some day.
So this is my problem. I was trying to softmod an xbox HD (which I have done successfully a couple of times before) when I ran into a problem.
I was in the process of deleting everything on the HD when the xbox turned off by itself. When I turned the xbox on again, it gave the error that said I needed to contact customer service (WITH ABSOLUTELY NO NUMBERS IN THE CORNERS). I was still able to unlock the HD to hotswap, but when I tried to look into the HD, with the 360 program I use, it said it had problems reading partition table. It lets me see the HD but it's missing partition F: the last partition that's suppose to have the UDATA and TDATA folders. I don't know how to fix this.
I tried to use the "XBOX HD Maker and recovery tool" bootable cd to format the drive, but it doesn't work. I get to the part where I choose option 1) Build new Xbox HD from scratch
But this gives me error, says invalid command.
Above that option though it does say "Disabled" Every other option in this menu gives same error, except the option 6)Generate HD key
But this doesn't help.
If anyone knows what i am talking about and can help me on this, it would be much appreciated, if it helps I do know how to FTP to xbox and have another xbox that's modded.
Status of xbox: has all partitions except last, C: folder is on there with softmod and xbox still turns on with error screen

Please help

was there a reason to delete everything off of the xbox?

but back to the question i dont really know what it wrong with it,either the HD is corrupted or something similar, a modchip can fix it if you wanna go that direction...

I basically just need to know how to format the drive, do you know how I can do that? Or do you have a link to a detailed forum on formating drive?
