Video is laggy and freezes..

As the title suggest my videos are very choppy like a laggy game. I am using VLC and am using the media and stream info to give you some info. It says it is using DX50 codec and MPGA audio. There is some weird information here aswell at the very bottom. It says:

"Muxing application: libebml v0.7.0 + libmatroska v0.7.0
Writing application: mkvmerge v0.9.2 built on jun xx xx xx:xx:xx"

It is weird because the audio is fine and the video looks great since they are 225mb files and have resolution of 640x480 but it chops up and sometimes freezes for a few seconds.

Can anyone help me with this please?
