Hey ppl.
I downloaded a couple of games off the net and I don't know how to burn it. I have a Sonic v7 Dvd burning software. Do I just create a data disc with ALL the downloaded files, or select a few, or add extra data and create a data disc.
I really need your help ppl. Thanx alot in advance.
Please reply a.s.a.p.
Rock on!!!

Usually downloaded games are lots of RAR files.
Select the 1st one, double click it, extract to a destenation fo your choice. You will then be left with an ISO, burn this with DVD Decrypter and then play in your modded PS2 :)

depends on your DVD drive really.
I prefer the 8X DVD-R (they are the most compatible)
But i have also used DVD+R with success
and even some 16X DVD+R
But DVD+RW are pretty much useless for games on either Xbox or PS2

2 things you need.
1. WinRAR
2. DVD Decrypter
These are freely available. Just google for them. WinRAR will be for a trial period though.

those are rar files, and WinRAR should be able to extract them
There are 2 methods you can use.
1. if my files show the stack of books icon (WinRAR icon) then i just right click the file and choose extract and extract it to a folder i make for that game.
2. if they have another icon, looks like a piece of paper with one corner folded in and a Windows type logo on it. Then i open WinRAR and use the the open archive feature to browse for the file manually.
when you get to the folder you have to use the dropdown menu on the browse box and change it to say "all files" so it shows everything in the folder. Then choose the R01 or first rar file and it should load up into WinRAR, then you just press extract button.
I have never had a rar file that i could not open with those methods.

Hey ppl.
There happens 2 b a wierd sort of file which supposedly has "No archives found in selected files and folders" when I try 2 extract the file. It's an SFV File ( 1 KB ) and shows the picture of some window on a blank piece of paper tht is folded at the top-right corner ( Tht's the icon ). The way I extracted my files was open WinRAR and manually search 4 my game, then extract 2 a specified location. But this single SFV file din't get extracted. So do I just proceed with my DVD burning or wat? And btw, I found out how 2 burn Dvd's with DVD Decryptor. ( Go 2 Mode - ISO - Write ). Jus waitin 4 the green signal from you guys. Thanks 4 helpin me cum this far.

the sfv file has nothing to do with the extracted image, its just a verification file that is used to check you have all the files
so dont worry about it.
to use it,just google for a sfv file checker, there are plenty of free ones available
you just use the app to open the sfv file, and it will check every rar file to see if it corrupt/missing etc
basically anyone who uploads to net has to make one of these, otherwise they get nuked.
rarely do you have to use it,so again, dont worry, and dont read to much into a simple un-pack
