Is UltimateConsolesGuides a reputable place to buy a slide card and Swap Majic?

I dont game much, my kids do and i have them a PS2 in layaway for Christmas, and several games ordered from E-Bay and I know they will break,scratch lose them etc.

2nd question is, and I dont know alot about PS2's, but they will play DVD movies.. is that correct? If so,, couldnt one put swapmajic on a backup DVD as track 1, and then the back- up game on as track 2,, thus eliminating the need for a Slide card?

Yip, they will play dvd's.
But putting both swap magic and backup game on 1 dvd wont work. (And odds are you probly wont be able to fit both onto 1 dvd)
You need the original swap magic to run back up dvd's, you cant back up swap magic and use it to play back ups :)

You can always get the fliptop for the ps2 (Way better then the slide card), but since u are buying a brand new ps2 then you will get warranty, so its probly best not to install the fliptop since its voiding warranty.

I didnt know they still sell old fat ps2? Are you not getting a slimline?
