my freind who pulls 60,000 is getting a ps3 this friday, and hes also going to get a flatscreen to go with it. what flatscreen should he get? hell probably have about 3 grand to drop on the tv. durability is definatly a factor for consideration, he likes to get drunk and/or yaked out and break things. also, any sugestions on a suround sound system to go with it? will ps3 games be 7.1?
hes live in manhattan, on monday hes going to go try to bribe some store owners to get a reserve ticket for purchasing one on friday, but if he cant get any we are camping out for one of the only two midnight sales in new york. my brother might be comming too, the plan is my freind is actualy going to buy 3 (with me and my bro as mules) and flip the other two on da bay with a percentage going my way. you guys all realize the only reason they make so few for the first run is to foster demand right?
in nyc people actualy camped out for the PREORDERS! crazy.
anyone else in nyc camping out for the midnight sales?

I think what you meant was a flat panel tv, but anyways I would go with anyhing that has 1080p resoluion and not many out there have, especialy on LCD, well Sharp does have one but I think it's one 42 inches, samsung and sony have two tvs that are 1080p but they're not flat panel the are projected tvs, and if you really have the money for it I would go with the Pioneer Plasma 50 inches and is about 8-10k
As or surrund sound i would go with TR theater research, you probably haven't heard of them but the are the best of the best really highend stuff and you wont find a local retail store or maybe you will sence you live in NYC. so go luck .

No not yet, unless you want the pioneer plasma or dlp or the sony wrx or something like that, seriously it won't mater if you have a less than 50 inches on a tv with 1080p becuase pixels are much smaller thatn if you were to get a 50 in plus tv then I would get a 1080p for clearer pic. My opinion I would go with plasma, dlp, or the sony wrx(don't know if that's the right name), lcd you will have the chicken wire affect and you will notice the pixels if your as picky as I am and pay attention to detail as I do, but for the most part I would go with whatever you can afford and what you think is best for you.

i like you noamos strive for perfection from my tvs, so your saying a 50 inch 1080p for less than 3 grand doesnt exist? what would the absolute best tv for picture quality be for 3 grand or less? it has to be the type you can hang on your wall like a picture (flatscreen, or do you call them flat panels?) cause my freinds living room is small.
