i just burned final fantasy XII and i have swap magic soo i extracted the WinRAR and the iso came out and i only burned the iso and when i load it up it says not a valid disk i tried all three choices normal,PAL,and NTSC and it keeps on saying not a valid disk what should i do to make the game workk and also i have castlevania lament of innocence and its the exact same problem i only burned the iso and its the exact same problem wat can i doo can sum1 help me

A) This should be in the DVD backup topic.

B) Are you sure its a WinRAR file and not an .ISO ? Uncheck the .ISO box on your WinRAR.

well after i finished downloading it it came out to be a WinRAR file and than i extracted the WinRAR file and the iso file came out soo i just burned the iso file i do that to my other games and it works perfectly but some games when i burn the iso file it doesnt work rightt soo what can i do to fix this problem

what brand of DVD media are you using?

well i burned it in a TDK dvd recordable DVD +R 8X 4.7gb 120 min....but i have other type of dvd cd's like memorex dvd +r 16x 120 min 4.7 gb ...sony dvd +R ....nexxtech dvd +R 8x 120 min but i burned the game in a TDK DVD

use your sony discs
they work alot better
although final fantasy 12 has alot of sound problems
and i have nooooooooo idea what to do about that lol

i just want to say, if the icon loooks like a rar format but has .iso at the end than dont do anythig to it , just extract the file form WinRAR and burn the .iso, so the picture should look like a normal rar file (with the books stacked on top of each other like you obvisously know) with a .iso at the end,dont do anything to it just burn that file, dont exract the stuff in it. burn it as an image on Nero and use vertabrim disks, and burn them at 4X times speed. also have a good burner thats all i can say.

yeah, maybe your burner cant handle those disks? i know that it should, but the NuTech one i have now wont do anything over x4...its preferred is x2... thats how old it is.. lol!

well i got it to workk it was the cd probelem i burneed the iso image file to a sony cd before it was a TDK cd and it never worked soo i guess it was that i needed a better brand well can someone giv me advice i got memorex,tdk,sony,nexxtech dvd Rs... which brand is the best for burning ps2 games i mostly have nexxtechs but can someone tell me which brand is the best for ps2 games

use the sony and Memorex. TDK i heard was good enough to burn ps2 .iso and i thought it should have worked. I bet the only reason you bought Nexxtech was because it was on sale in Circuit City, those dvd are just plain awful

haha yaa your rightt i ssaww themm soo cheep soo i just bought it but it doesnt realli giv me a problem i got soo many ps2 games in nex tech cds and they all work

oh... i see i looked into the nexxtech dvd. Found out that the DVD-R has a UME01 code which is bad. Supposedly +R is alot better

yeah, well supposedly Nexxtech has really bad media too, check that List of Best Media thread. =)
