yes i have a modded system and the mod chip does allow for DVD-9 or dual layer playback but for some reason i can't get it to play any dual layer discs. the ps2 is a verison 7 or 8 and the mod chip is matrix infinity with the lastest firmware. the discs i am using are verbatim DVD+R DL. any thought of why it won't read the discs? i put in the disc and it says reading disc then nothing, no disc read error nothing.

I'm pretty sure you have to patch the games with the TOXIC dual layer patch...or maybe that's only for the older modchips.
