If you still want to use SmartRipper follow these instructions,

Download trial version, good for 21 days(cost $40)software called AnyDVD-----Cracks are out there for this but it is only $40.

Put your DVD into your drive.

Start SmartRipper.

Smartripper doesn't look like it is running, but watch the Searching Key box, bottom right corner.

Smartripper will run a little longer than you might be use to but the final quality was excellent and everything worked as normal for me from that point on. Hope this helps someone that is still hooked on SmartRipper.
