I have just downloaded a BWA file of Hitman 2, this BWA file was taken from the German version of the disc, and i have the UK version, would this matter??
I would have created the BWA myself, but when creating a BWA on my computer, a lot of spikes are shown, however, when loading up a MDS file from Alcohol 120% there are only a few spikes, but the one i have downloaded, is perfect. what am i doing wrong??
i have a DVD-ROM drive: - 16x
and a CD-RW drive: - 40x READ and the rest i have forgotten, it is quite fast thogh on avereage a full 700Mb disk can be burned in the low 3minute mark, or maybe less.
The german BWA file would not work with the UK image, which seems quite obviuse because although they may be the same game there are probably loads of differences in data, language to name one of them.
And for the spikey BWA file i had to edit it with a BWA editor where i shrunk the spikes to the size of the others.

Are you reading at 1x good buddy? (BWA Builder).
ViRuS2k made a "near perfect spikeless" bwa file with his Litey 52x for UT 2003 (SecuROM 4.8.x). I used his bwa file and my backup plays flawlessly.

I didn't try it at 1x, as you know how impatient i can get with slow things. The lowest i tried was at 8x speed and i got about five/six large spikes, but i corrected these with the BWA Editor. (As i also said earlier)
But Shoey i have to agree with you in this case, because it is a fact that the slower the reader is the more accurate, thus leaving less spikes!!
