I was installing the fliptop but after awile I decided to reinstall the original cover now my ps2 doesn't work why?

wont read games and I have a black little spring and without it I cant open my ps2 automaticly when I push the button can anyone help?

Do you get the Sony browser on the screen? I'm assuming the security switches aren't being closed. There are two of these switches and if they aren't depressed the disc wont spin.

You need to give these guys more info. Tell them exactly what is wrong and describe it in detail so they can help figure out the problem.

okay when I first tried to install the fliptop I opened the ps2 a black spring popped up from my ps2 and I figured out out I needed it to make the top flip pop open but I can still open it by holding down the button down and lifting up the top can you tell me where it goes? Then I put the fliptop in and started a game but it makes a clicking sound then stops so I installed the normal top back again now it says it can't read a game (I'm talking about american games) does anyone know whats wrong?

Nothting seems wrong that black spring doesnt affect the pstwo besides the cover wont lock down. If u have a picture of the spring and the ps2 that might help. Also what model number is the ps2 and when u said start a game do u mean a copied game with the swap magic? Try loading a cd audio and/or dvd movie and see if those read.
