Well, heres what I have so far, I know its not much but here we go:
---Circuit City---
Moved out a whole section of Xbox 360 accessories to another location. Changed how the games were set up in display cases. There are huge signs approximately 3 feet wide by 5-6 feet tall. They say coming November 2006 with the PS3 picture on it, the 60 GB version.
---Target---
They were supposed to recieve a PS3 display unit earlier last week, and it has arrived yet. I'll keep everyone informed about that situation. They also have Wii accessories for sale and a demo DVD showing some games.
---Gamestop---
They recieved a test Wii unit and set it up the day I went in. I tried to Wii-mote or whatever it is and I really didn't like it. The control's didn't seem up to par, and were hard to get accustomed to. It could be because it was a driving/racing game. It ould just take time to get accustomed to.
Like I said, I will try to keep everyone informed.

Did you remmeber to pick up a PS3 magazine? If so, scan the pictures in and put a link to them on here if you can. If not, then just sum up what the magazine says.

I would scan in the magazine for the Wii and the PS3 however, the nearest Best Buy is 40 minutes away from my house.
To scan them in, you have to have a scanner, if so then read the following. Place the magazine on the scanner bed, so that one page is lined in. Then close the top cover and press the scan button. It should then have something pop up on your computer saying something about a scan in progress. Then it should open up a little image preview of the scan. Note where the file is located. Then you should create a Photobucket account. Then you upload the images to your photobucket account and then paste the hyperlink to that image on the forums. Hopefully you got the grasp of it.
EDIT: Also, I just found out my scanner is broken or something. I was going to scan in all of the advertisements I have collected over the weekend. To add to the list of developements:
---Target---
I just got off the phone with my local Target and they said no camping out until the store closes which is at 10:00 p.m.. The employee I talked to believe they will get 5-6 PS3's (fairly new store less than a year old). Then he also said that they would hand out all of the tickets saying you can get a PS3 once the certain number of people have filled how many they are getting. Also, not alot of people have called he said so I guess I might not be going to a mid-night launch. And the display unit is NOT to be assembled until after the console is released. Bummer... I was hoping to play it.
If I find anything else out I'll let you all know.

Thanks alot, I appreciate it. I was hoping they would have some accessories in the magazine as well. I might need to buy a headset for Resistance. Also, I would need some of those Micro Points for downloads etc. Oh well, Just about 3 days until I have mine.

Call your local stores. Thats what I did, or just do what smacyo did, go to the stores themselves, talk to one of the people in the electronic department or with a manager if you can.

---Walmart---
Double check phone call:
Should know by tommorow how many they are getting. Call back about policies on camping outside, it depends on whether or not the city allows it. Check with the manager. *Sarcasm* He has only recieved about 100 calls today about it.
---Target---
Double Check Phone Call:
Operator:Can camp out, no garuntee that you will get one. No garuntee that you'll get one.
Connected to electronics department: Lady was checking... They arent sure...they get however whenever. Should have a shipment tommorow. Then asked about camping. Had no clue... then asked to talk to manager.
Manager: Can't get # of consoles. Have to wait until 10 o'clock to camp, now confirmed. Once you show up, you get a ticket... However, she didn't know if you had to wait overnight or just show up the next day. Warranty is through the manufacturer... she didn't even bring up the name Sony, she said Playstation. Said to call back within a few days to firm up policy on camping and how tickets will be handed out.
---Circuit City---
1st Initial Phone Call:
1st come 1st serve. Call Thursday. He was a dick and then hung up on me. Still have to ask about camping, blah, blah, blah.
So heres the summary...Wal-mart guy was sarcastic. Target was again informational, and I will call back again tommorow and Thursday. Circuit City was a dick. The guy wouldn't tell me anything and he hung up on me. Now does that want to make me drop 600+ dollars there, nope. I'll post some more tommorow.

---BestBuy---
called 1st time, then was transferred, phone hung up. Tried again, same thing. Time to talk to customer service. Tried to call back 3 times to talk. Connected to media. Then asked about howmany consoles they are getting, not able to disclose that information. Asked about how many Resistance:FOM games they are getting, around 140. So, I tried to imply that they were getting around 100 or so consoles. They guy said no, we sell games to everyone that buys a console. So what do you think my odds are if I were to show up tommorow at 7 am. Also, there is atleast 40 people in line as of 2:00 pm. I tried to call back to customer information and then be connected to the inventory department. He said he could look up to game... shit. So then I proceeded to ask him the UPC number of the PS3 60 GB model. He then asked if I knew the title of the game. I said Resistance: FOM. He said he couldnt tell me how many they have until the day of. So, this blows, I'm not getting a PS3 from them. Time to call Target.
---Target---
Called, then asked to be transferred to manager on duty. No tents, chairs, no coolers. Demo kiosk is set up for the PS3. Extended service plan, didn't know the prices off the top of her head. No distractions to the guests. Well... sounds like Target has made up their mind about coolers, tents, etc. No one is camping outside as of now. So this looks like an option.
---Wal-Mart---
probably not let me sit in a chair, check with township. Not open 24 hours a day. Possibly planning a midnight release though. People have been camping outside and have been escorted off of the property by police. Its basically 1st come 1st serve. They still have to talk to the head unit of wal-mart to see if they are opening at midnight. Forgot to ask about warranty, will call later tonight to see if there is anyone camping. They are selling 2 20 GB versions and 2 60 GB versions (not keeping true to advertisements) and then 8 rainchecks that will be filled within 3 weeks. Demo kiosk is set up since yesterday.
---Circuit City---
Here we go again... To sum it up, I talked to the manager, and they got 6 60 GB versions, there is already 4 people in line, so two spots left. They will offer a 2-4 year warranty, not sure of the price. Can't hand out the tickets early, they have to do it the day of the launch, they will most likely open at 7 am. Also, if you bring a tent, you go to jail, stupid ordinance law.
That sums it up, I'll post back more if I call back to the places. So far, it seems that Circuit City and Best Buy Chapel hill are oout of the question.

Ok, I'm getting ready to go camp, yep thats right, its still Wednesday. I am going to the local Circuit City they are only getting 6, and my dad is there #6 in line. Also, they are only getting the 60 GB versions so... looks like I'm getting what I wanted! I can't wait, I won't have anything to do, but I guess I'll study statistics. I'll let you all know how it went later tonight when my dad relieves me of my camping duties. Then tommorow, right after school, I'm hitting the cold pavement again to camp out until 9-10 pm. Then my dad will take back over. Good luck to everyone else gettting a console. I guess I won't be updating this thread any more. Peace.
