i have done a few movies that play great in my player.. all of my movies have been downloaded as avis, then converted with Vso DivX to dvd (works fast and great)
then i burn the remaining file with dvd santa

ONE movie has not worked and i need help figuring out how to make it work!!!! My sony home dvd player recognizes the disc as a dvd, but an error message appears saying 'area perimeter prohibits play' or something Very similar along those lines.. i cant figure out how to fix this with my existing software.. i hope someone can help me out!
thanks... so far it has done this with jet li' fearless and lucky # slevin..
my question is how can i correct this problem using DVD Shrink????

Hi 24l
It sounds like may be a pal/ntsc format. Like you're in an NTSC region & the files are in PAL format.
Shrink will remove any region codes when doing backup's of originals (downloads usually don't have region protection on them) but won't convert to the different format.

Take the files your converted and run them thru VobBlanker (free) to 'mask' the format then burn the file from VobBlanker. Usually works for most players.
