hi i have heard of these things and that they allow you play play imported or homebrew games
1st of all....wut are imported / homebrewed games?
also i have heard that with a modchip you can run your ps2 like a PC and do things any normal computer can
further rumors have told me that i can play xbox games via emulator that i can put on my ps2 once i have a modchip
so....i would appreciate if some1 answered my questions and told me the basics and cool stuff that modchips can do in a language i can understand! thank you

imported games are games from like japan or europe. homebrew games are games that the playstation 2 gamers have created that run on their ps2s. yes your ps2 can run like a computer to a certain point but it doesn't have the processing power that a pc or a xbox has. no there is no emu for the ps2 to run xbox games/apps cuz the xbox is too high powered compared to the ps2. you can run a basic version of linux(free version of windows) on your fat ps2 buts its hard to find the dvd's state side. with a ps2 modchipped you can play imported games, back-ups of u.s. games, run homebrew software. just keep searchin on the internet and read all you can about this stuff. if ya need help theres plenty of folks on here like me that are willing to help.
