I have a v4 NTSC ps2, and im not sure if i can use this hdd because on the notes it says "Works like a charm.
PAL PS2 (SCPH-30004) v4 w/ DMS3 2.0 flash 2.2". So i was wondering if i will have any problems, i do have a network adapter.
Will i need a modchip to use this on my ps2, and what disc will i need for my ps2 to use the hdd.

you would not need a modchip, If it is internal then HD Advance or HD Loader are two programs you can use to run it. The old DMS3 chip did not have hard drive support like the newer DMS4 Pro does.

The only real test as to if it will work is to give it a try. If it worked in a V4 PAL system i figure it would work in your V4 as well.

So how would I be able to play nes and sega games off of the hdd on my ps2, would i have to do it like a disc, but put the image on the hdd?

they have discs you can get with emulators and roms
you can just buy those or find them somewhere and use them
never tried them from the hard drive as i have so many on my Xbox there is no need to have them on PS2 as well.
