I am trying to use xbox saves manager to upload saves to my xbox, but it will not connect. In the info it said to use Evox or Avalaunch. I tried both but neither will connect. I have also tried other FTP programs such as cuteftp, smartftp, and a few others but none of them will connect. The only one I have that will connect is FlashFXP. I would appreciate any advice anyone could give me thanks.
then the program's must not be set up correctly.
I have used FlashFXP, WS_FTP Pro, Qwix, & Craxtion.
and after setting them up they all work just fine.
Check all the settings to make sure those programs are using the correct IP address, username and password.
If you can connect with one i see no reason why others would not work.
I'm pretty sure that all of my settings are right it just won't connect for some reason. Xbox Ip: 192.168.0.3 Sub: 255.255.255.0, PC Ip 192.168.0.2 Sub: 255.255.255.0. All are set to right ip and port 21, but the only one that connects is Flash. I have tried all dash's and none of the others will connect.
has to be some setting in the programs.
As i have said i have used several different programs to access the Xbox. If you can connect using one i see no reason why the others would not work.
The only other thing that comes to mind is any firewall program that may restrict internet access blocking them. If they are not in the lsit of allowed programs it will block their access to FTP
I got it finaly! It was my firewall in windows. I turned the firewall off, but didn't know there was another setting in windows security center. That I had to check off saying "I have a firewall solution that i'll monitor myself". That little check box has driven me crazy, cause like you were saying it didn't make any sense that one would connect and the others wouldn't.
glad you got it working man. FTP is kind of crazy since there are quite a few things that can stop you from connecting right.
Such as firewalls. You may just be able to go in and add that program to the firewalls accepted list so that you do not have to fool with it anymore. Windows should have asked you automatically when you first usd it but i guess it didn't.
