1. i read that the ps2 is a PAL ps2, but if i got a modchip installed, would i be able to play regular NTSC games???

Yes. I've seen a Pink PS2 modded. My friend's Girlfriend has one.
If you mod a PAL you can play NTSC.

I believe its: SCPH-75002, but it might be SCPH-77002 (both however are very much the same anyway).

I really can't believe they made a Pink one. I thought it was impossible. Seriously at first, I thought she got a black one and did a paint job.
