Works great, as long as you use high quality DVDs (Ritek DVDs are the best IMO).
And the replacement case (top only) makes it so you can use full size DVDs.
I got mine from modingmaniacs.com because I'm in Canada.
They have a good deal on a XenoGC/Case/Screwdriver combo.

You may want to order from somewhere closer to you to save on shipping... just use google to find more vendors.

I think I bought all my stuff from xbox-modchips.com, got the viper case, (thats all they had back then, you have choices now), and a qoob pro. I paid less than $80 USD for everything and got the little gamebit to open the qoob. Good luck with your installation!

On another note, the mini-dvd's are a lot cheaper than they were, so you could just buy those and retain the original case for a more stealth-look, but it doesn't matter either way. It probably is easier to use the same media for everything.

I cover my bases...
1)Xbox w/xecuter 2.6 solderless
2)Ps2 (slim) w/DMS4 Lite
3)Ps2 V7 w/DMS4 Lite and 200 Gig Maxtor HDD
4)GC w/qoob pro
