Why did sony have to make the new ps3 so expensive sure theres the $499 and the $599 price to choose from but the $499 lacks wifi the memory card reader slot doesent matter but the wifi does, oh and the 20 gb sucks compared to the 60 gb, the price i just dont know if im gonna get one because of the price it is leading me to go towards a wii though im not a nintendo fan but the price seems reasonable. Its leading me towards a wii for half the price $250 i get the system and a game for $600 i get the ps3 plus another $70 for a game and i think theres a 15 percent tax price for all electronics you guys know thats alot of money $670 plus 15 percent tax, i just dont know what to do buy the ps3 and have the best gaming hardware for the price of $600 for me thats 3 paychecks (im only working part time) or go with nintendo and get the wii for $250 please i need reasons to buy the ps3 or to not.

the games are only $59.99 and currently at Circuit City you can get Resistance for only $54.99 and a couple of other titles...also if you buy 2 ps3 titles from CC, you get a 15$ gift card. as far as the price is concerned, remember the wii gaming experience will be different than the experience someone gets from the ps3. the wii is focused around innovation and average graphics. the ps3 FUNCTIONALITY is atleast TRIPLE that of the wii...so your getting what you pay for...

Its all about what you prefer, if you knew the ps3 was going to so expensive why didn't you save unless you just started working. Wii has a good price and even though I will also get one for my kids, I will say it is not top notch quality. I actually got my ps3 preorder paid in full as a birthday gift (from my wife)on oct. 10 which was my bday and was lucky to know ebgames was preordering a day before the 10th. It all depends if you have the money why not? But if you don't just wait until you can afford it. I know that the only complaint that you have is the price, which just seems dumb because you did not mention anything towards the 360, which is 400, unless you have one. If I had to make a choice between Wii or 360 I would go with 360, and that's only because I don't have the money for the ps3. Again the choose is yours, we don't know if you pay bills, have kids, go to high school, or go to college, but if you live with your parents and have no responsibilties, go for it, but make you mind up quick cuz there's only four days left and in some cases ppl are already inline just to get one.
