I have a ps2 slim line SCPH-75001, i just open it out the box i had it since last year and never touch it, so now i decide to play some games i have some burn games so i start researching on how to play them i discover all these methods and so far thinks the swap magic disk is best for ps2 slim since hd advance will not work and usb extreme is limited to compatibility.

I notice that on some sites it says swap magic 3.6 now works with loading from usb mass storage, has anyone tried this and cna confirm?

If this is indeed true, does this now mean i can simple play the games off the external usb instead of burning them to dvd and cd?

I would like to know before purchasing swap magic.

Swap magic only boots homebrew programs off usb like ulaunch, media players etc. Not ps2 games, unless u use usb extreme/advance.
Buying SM is better choice then usb advanace though. Cause u can get the usbadvance elf file, chuck it onto a usbstick, then run it through Swap magic.

First of all, i've accidentally done it a couple times but, no double/triple/etc. posts allowed.
Now, SM 3.6 will load ELF files from mass0:\ but not games. As xplaya said, you can use it to load usbadvance so that you can play games off of a usb hard drive. So in my personal opinion, get swap magic.
