hi everyone. i had to restore my windows sp2 because i think i lost a codec and the players using direct show could not play .avi files fluidly anymore. after restoring, they were ok. another problem came up then: i could not move the files with ext .avi anymore. i could copy, watch them, but not move as windows says that:
the file is used by another program or person.(not true)
i changed an option in the folder options and that worked, so i could move and play the file.
but after few hours, without intervening again, the players can t play the files anymore (i can play em with vlc but it is not the point.) any idea? thanks.
p.s. i undid the restoration but to no avail.
