Because one of the greatest game magazines has been discontinued. Official US Playstation Magazine will stop production after the January 2007 issue.

yeah you are right , well I can see why though since the Ps3 is tryin to push online more and really you are goin to be able to get demo's and info online but may the great OPM rest in peace .

Following a startling announcement that the Official PlayStation Magazine will no longer be printed in the United States, Future, publisher of the United Kingdom version of OPM, confirmed that they will continue to run the publication.

The OPM has long been a popular source of PlayStation news, and especially touted for its included monthly demo disc. With news that OPM has not completely vanished off the map, it appears more likely that a new publication in the US will take over production of the magazine.
