It has really been frustrating because the file cannot be recognised because it has .exe at the end of it.

I tried deleting it in properties but it keeps on appearign, and then a MS-DOS shortcut of the file is produced.

So PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, tell me how...

Do you mean an EXE within the BIN file? If so, use something like ISOBuster or CDMage to delete the offending EXE from within the BIN file.
