I know I can do movie only and not have to compress as much but I like to have the menus. Is there a reccomended percentage to not go below. I want to have a good picture on my movies when I upgrade tvs and heard that the newer tvs will show the pixels more if compressed to much. I try to keep them at least at 60 percent but sometimes go to 55. I drop all the extra languages. Thanks for the reply.

I recommend that you only ever drag the main title across when in reauthor mode after analysis (one folder). Audio comes within the main folder and quality is 100%!! Menus are nice however did you know you can still jump from chapter to chapter without having the menus? Hope this helps, 100% is the way to go, if ever you get a digital projector with lets say a 100inch screen, 60% quality will look awfull as it will on plasma and LCD screens.

I would also hope you are using DVD Shrinks AEC and Deep Analysis during backup...with compression rates that high they are a must. You might also want to look into DVD-RB for movies with high compression levels.

It will make a big difference...basically it smooths out all of the bumps created when DVD Shrink tries to apply all that compression to your backup. Here is a more technical explanation:

These settings will also decrease the times it takes to backup your movie.
