How do I change burning speed? Help please!

I am having trouble changing the burning speed to slower so it burns more thorougly. Do I need to do this for the best quality DVD? Or is the automatic burning speed fine?

I need help.

umm....im kind of a newbee to this shrink program, but before you open the DVD Shrink program put your blank dvd in the burner and wait till your drive reads it after it stops
open DVD Shrink
open your files that you want to compress
click on the burn button
on the last tab click the drop down menu and select the speed you want

Hi gshrubb
Once you click 'backup' in Shrink click on the burn settings tab (see pic). Burn at 1/2 the rated speed of the disc - i.e. 16x burn at 8x.

Use quality media like Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden (instore look for made in japan only Sony or Fuji)

If you are using Nero for you burning you will have to select your burn speed for each burning instance...Nero default is maximum speed. If you use DVD Decrypter or Imgburn for your burning you only have to select your burn speed once...they remember this setting each time you burn. Also, when using quality discs coupled with a quality drive and current firmware higher burn speed can be achieved with high quality results.

DVD Shrink settings:
