what are the latest glitches in the ps3? wanan know beofre i purchase one tommorow morning. is it worth waaiting till after xmas.

The only one so far is a problem with ps3 playing ps2 and ps1 games. It only requires a firmware update so it doesn't matter if you have a launch unit or not.
The other thing is you will need to get a firmware update if you plan on connecting your psp to the ps3. This will be painless, and shouldn't require more than a few minutes of your time.

But so far no real hardware glitches (like disk scratching, overheating, exploding batteries, etc.)

what really is firmware is it on your system already and is it just an updating software.

I believe it come with a disc that has the firmware update on it.

Probably to protect it from hackers since they didnt want to change every single PS3 already made they just added the firmware update disc.

Im sure some homebrewers wont update and find out something cool.

ok thats what I head to and Ridge racer had glitch problems (but thats the devs fault) , Twohitter found some problems on Ign with Tony Hawk. I heard somethin about an HDTV was messin up with the hdmi output cable they dont know if it was the cable or the T.V so that could go both ways . I'm tryin to wait a lil though because I want one but I wont the best they can make ,I never went wrong with my 2nd/3rd wave Ps2
