You are trying to burn it as an image? or as a data cd? You should be burning it as an image:
1. Open Nero
2. File --> Burn Image
3. Select Image file
4. Burn per usual

Oor if you don't wan't to pay for Nero then use burnatonce 0.97a (freebie). Enable overburn>load the cue>burn (baby burn).

There must be some limit to what you can overburn?

Nero warns that you can actually damage your CD burner doing this. Is this right?

If you burn SLOW (i.e., 8x or less) then you prolly shouldnt encouter any problems. For DATA cds i think there is a reliable limit of 720MB or so, for SVCDs and such, 830MB is average.

Goto File --> Preferences --> Expert Features --> Enable Overburn
Set the value to something like 90 minutes. Now just make sure you burn slowly and you will be fine.

Use the program m8, it's FREE
I burn bin& cue all the time (SVCD) and have burned 837 mb file (bin& cue). The program is very simple to use
