Do you mean that they are crap Ritek, as in grade B or worse Ritek, or do you mean that 1x Ritek is crap. If it is the latter statement that you intended to make, I beg to differ, otherwise, ignore this comment!

I'm saying the whole thing is crap, because even with the sale, each disk cost $1.40 and if I knew they were 1X Ritek disks, theres no way I would buy them, since you can get them for like a buck online. I've read in a lot of places that Fuji is supposed to be the best, but there are better disks than Ritek. Thank god I have a Pioneer drive and can write the disks at 2X anyways.

What I'm saying is that the Fuji disks I bought are RitekG03 discs with a Fuji label.

From what I have gleaned from this informative site, is that whoever manufactures Ritek discs also manufactures the branded stuff you see bundled up in fancy packaging. So basically you are paying for the fancy packaging and not "quality" discs. It's the same crap.

I hate BestBuy too with all their gimmicks these days (sale items never in stock). However, I have bought several spindles from Best Buy over the past year and all discs are manufactured by Ricoh. True, they've all been 2.4x, but they never burned at 1x. If you use DVDInfo, you will see that I'm right about the Ricoh manufacturing. If you have crappy results, no one is saying Fuji works best for your particular DVD burner or player - that's why people post specific good/bad experiences with each brand.

I don't think you understand dog. Mine are not Ricoh, but are Ritek. Also, DVD+R's burn at 2.4x, mine are 1x -R's, so are you using + or - because there is a big difference.

I bought some fuji dvd-r's at best buy a couple days ago. I have already used 4 of them and haven't had any problems. By the way, they are rated at 4x and that's how fast I have been burning them...no problems.

I don't know about you, but I have bought fuji dvd+r media many times. I have burned over 100 of them and not one has failed. Plus they work great on my ps2 v7 with a messiah 2 mod.
