So ive ordered a swap magic 3.6 and i want to know something. This thing is only 30 bucks, doesnt void your warranty, or mess up your ps2, but yet i dont hear about it much, many prefer mod chip more? In my opinion, if all you do is swap cds and use a slide tool, well why not, i aint that lazy. So i need to know is there any catch to the swap magic?

Nope. No catch.
The differences from swap magic to modchip that i can think of are.

SM: You always have to swap the cd/dvd to play the back up.
MC: u just stick the back up in and play it.
SM: Cannot play all the games like DVD-9 games unless u shrink or patch them.
MC: Should play all back ups.
SM: Cant play ps1 games straight, I think u can through some swap method tricks etc.
MC: I think, can play ps1 games.
