hey dudes i was wondering what is the best media 2 use when burning ps2 games. i know there is a thread about this already but the brands mentioned were only available online (Taiyo Yuden for example). I was just wondering the best ps2 media that you can buy at like circuit city or target or sumthin like that. Best Buy, Comp USA, whatever. I just need 2 know the one's available in stores. Any advice would be appreciated thx

hi kevinko,

Plain and Simple V-E-R-B-A-T-I-M DVD+R 16x code= MCC04 is the way to go. U should find those everywhere but expensive as it is the best media arround in my opinion.
I used many years different brands of media and they do always work "FOR AWHILE atleast". I experienced allot of quality drops in certain media ive used inlike durability, playback, etc u see. And thats why i stepped down of this habbit since i used verbatim. I Never ever had problems "YET" (holding fingers acrossed) whit those nor in burning nor in playing them back on multiple platforms such as ps, ps2, dvd, etc.... Infinity "dvd+r 16x>>>ONLY" works very well too and are cheaper. Why DVD+R 16X only, because they seem to have the same media code as those verbatims. However, it isnt because they have the same media code they both give u good results i have found out. Ive compared those Infinity's whit verbatims and the verbatims came out slightly better in the scan quality tests ive made. And the most important thing off all, always update ur dvd writer its FIRmware before u try any media at all.

i hope i helped u out here PAL,

good luck,

Its like my mom always used to say : eens van de pot gerukt altijd van de pot gerukt!!!O_O
