After the phone boots up, press #
Press * 3 times fast for (p)
Press * 4 times fast for (w)
Press * 2 times fast for (+)
Verify code before pressing the last #.

I tried both keys, but my phone says "Code Error".

And my "Nokia 1600" seems to be "Nokia 1600b" strictly.

I can confirm something is different about Nokia 1600b speakout phones, I have tried two and they will NOT unlock using the online code generators and Cingular as the carrier.
Maybe they have a different carrier code than the unlock generators know about?
The 1100b's they have at 7-11 are not locked. Looks like they got wise and have locked it's replacement - the 1600b.
Hopefully some of you smart guys can figure this one out shortly.
